Chungyoon Chun

Chungyoon Chun Ph.D. is a Professor in the Department of Interior Architecture and Built Environment at Yonsei University, Seoul, Korea. She has been continuously active in the researches of human response to indoor environment including thermal comfort since 1992 when she began her PhD at the Yokohama national university in Japan.
Prior to joining the Yonsei University in 2001 Chun worked as a faculty at the department of architecture in Yokohama national university (1995 -2001). She also has been a visiting scholar at Center for Built Environment in UC Berkeley (2010 – 2011). Over the last 20 years Chun has authored over 40 peer-reviewed journal paper and over 100 conference papers. She has led a number of important projects funded by Korea government like National Research Laboratory and industries like Samsung, Hyundai and LG. Chun organized International symposium on Interaction between Human and Built Environment twice (2008, 2014) and let them link to the special issue in Building and Environment. She was honored as ‘Distinguished Research Professor’ and “Distinguished Teaching Professor’ by Yonsei University and got Academy awards from Korean Housing Research Association and Korean Living Environment Research Association.
